Math Placement Exam

Students are expected to complete their college-level mathematics requirement within their first 36 credits of study. To support academic success, students who have not previously completed a college-level mathematics course are required to complete a mathematics placement assessment before enrolling in coursework that fulfills the institution’s mathematics requirement.
The placement assessment evaluates a student's current mathematical knowledge and skills and helps identify the most appropriate starting point for their academic program. Students who do not demonstrate readiness for college-level mathematics through the assessment, or who choose not to complete the assessment, will begin with a foundational mathematics course designed to build the skills needed for success in college-level coursework.
Students who intend to satisfy their English or mathematics requirement through a CLEP examination must also do so within their first 36 credits of study.
