Adding a Course

Students may add a full-semester undergraduate or graduate course through the first week of classes. Students may add an Adult Degree Program (ADP) 6-week or 8-week course through the first week of the course.

Winter Term add deadlines are published annually in the Academic Calendar and may vary based on the length and structure of the term.

Traditional undergraduate first-year students and transfer students with fewer than 24 transfer credits may not enroll in online undergraduate courses offered through the Adult Degree Program (ADP). Exceptions require the approval of both the Dean of Academic Affairs and the Registrar.

Dropping a Course

Students may drop a full-semester undergraduate or graduate course through the last day of the second week of classes. Students may drop an ADP 6-week or 8-week course through the last day of the first week of the course. Winter Term drop deadlines are published annually in the Academic Calendar and may vary based on the length and structure of the term.

Courses dropped by the applicable deadline will not appear on the student's academic transcript. After the drop deadline, students wishing to discontinue a course must follow the College's withdrawal procedures and should consult the Academic Calendar for applicable withdrawal deadlines.

Students who officially drop a course may be eligible for a tuition refund in accordance with the College's refund policy. Students are encouraged to consult with their academic advisor before dropping a course.

The opening and closing dates for all add/drop periods are published annually in the Academic Calendar and are available on myAlbertus.
