Readmission After Dismissal

Students whose academic dismissal becomes final are not eligible to apply for readmission for a minimum of one (1) calendar year from the effective date of dismissal. 

After the one-year period, students may apply for readmission by completing the College's readmission process. To be considered for readmission, students must:

• Successfully complete at least twelve (12) transferable credits at an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA);
• Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all coursework completed following dismissal;
• Submit official transcripts from all institutions attended after dismissal;
• Submit a written statement describing the circumstances that contributed to prior academic performance and outlining a plan for future academic success; and
• Complete all institutional readmission requirements.

Readmission applications are reviewed through the College's academic readmission process. Program-specific approval may also be required for students seeking readmission to programs with additional academic or professional standards.

Students who are readmitted following academic dismissal will return on Academic Review and remain on Academic Review until they regain good academic standing and satisfy all applicable Academic Review requirements.

Students who are academically dismissed a second time are not eligible to apply for readmission for a minimum of five (5) years.

Students who believe extraordinary circumstances warrant an exception may submit a written petition for review through the Office of Academic Affairs.
